Main Street and bridges
It has been a long hard four months but finally the bridges and Main Street in Cockermouth will reopen today.
It has been hard for the people living in the town with the closures with problems down Kirkgate but hopefully will now flow around the town easier.
I think people will have to be patient until they get used to traffic moving up and down Main Street again while building work is still going on but it is a big step on the road to normality.
It will also be easier for people living on the north side of the River Derwent to get into town with the opening of Gote Bridge as it has been a struggle for them in the past few months.
