Poet's poem for town
I was delighted to hear that so many youngsters and adults in Cockermouth were inspired by the Poet Laureate’s readings of her poetry, last week.
Carol Ann Duffy, as charming as her poetry, braved the wet and windy weather and seemed genuinely pleased to visit the area.
She has gone on to prove her admiration for the local people and the area by writing a poem on Cockermouth and Workington.
