THE only message that has been coming out of Cockermouth for the last few months is that the town is open for business
When the floods hit in November all that was broadcast on our TV screens and on the internet was a broken town that was suffering in the aftermath of the worst flooding in living memory.

Light at the end of the tunnel
THERE is a renewed sense of optimism in Cockermouth following the reopening of the bridges and Main Street this week.
