What is the latest news on Northside Bridge?

IT IS now 12 weeks since the floods and we are still waiting for the temporary bridge being built. If it was in London, we would be using it.
Can I ask a question, Allerdale and Cumbria councils, what is happening to the Northside Bridge?
I have an engineering background and to me this could be the easiest bridge to fix. The road is already in place.
If two concrete supports were put either side of the river, steel girders laid across, and a road built on top of the girders the bridge would be complete.
If you think this is not possible, have a look at the bridge over the Stainburn bypass; this is the type of bridge that could be built over the river.
Over to you Allerdale/Cumbria council.
